WELCOME TO EMERSON ART SCHOOL.

I have been an artist all my life. Art is my passion and I want to share what I have learned with you.  I have a BA degree from Lyon College and a Masters degree in education from Arkansas State University. I have taught kindergarten through twelfth grade Art in public schools as well as working as a Guidance Counselor for many years. After retirement I decided I wanted to continue teaching art in the private sector. I was fortunate to find the old Montessori School in Batesville was for sale. From the moment I walked through the door I knew it wass the perfect location and large enough for all the classes I wanted to have. 

 

 

I like to work in all mediums and with all ages. Natural talent or ability is an asset, but the love of art is the most important trait in the learning process.  Painting, drawing, stained glass, fused glass, working with clay, collage, printmaking are some of the classes I offer. Try one or all and you just might find your passion.
